A Universal Comment System

Most sites, reddit, hacker news, allow post submissions. This allows centralized discussion, but leads to issues with multiple posts and diluted conversation. Most new reddit-like social sites remove duplicates to allow community oriented discussion. This is a potential solution in the opposite direection, by attaching the site directly to the websites being commented on. Commentr works on every website - no setup!

How to use

Caveats and coments

I don't fully understand section 230. As a result, though Neil Postman, lack of resources, etc. factor in as well, I intend to keep this purely text-based. I want to avoid moderation and use this casually while providing a service to others

At some point I'm going to spend more time monetizing. I'm thinking of allowing people to buy upvotes directly so one upvote costs 1c, 2 costs 2c, 3 costs 4c, 5 costs 8c, and so on. But I don't know this is only if I notice extra charges or have to spend time rearchitecturing anything beyond my original design.

This is not curently stable! I have local backups of everything, but the design is the easiest thing I could throw together without thinking about it. I may fix this if numbers ever increase at all.
